ESPs are very useful for %98 and higher water cut wells; I have ESP well and it is running for 14 years without any problems. don 't forget to calculate the "water coning" of production wells as well. after the start of water injection the main problem is water coning of production wells. for more calculation information u can check www.peteng.com
