ESP pumps for 5 1/2 in casing

Post by cr »

Can anyone tell me, from his experience, what type of ESP pump for higher rates...about 300 - 500 cm/day is proper to install in a well with 5 1/2 in casing and 800 meters, without problems to extract back the pump ?

you must design your ESP based on your reservoir, i can't answer your question based on rate, all type pump (ESP) can handle big rate (>100,000 bbl/D)

because your design pump basd on type your reservoir fluid, cable size and also the dept.

so make good preparation for design ESP.

I can help you how to design if you needed.

God Bless you,

Regards,

the size 5 1/2" is very narrow for ESP. is it possible to try another artificial lift system ???

I recommend to use jet pump especially in this shallow depth. But if the GOR is higher than 400 SCF/STB it is not recommended

Thank you !

The GOR is about to 0, therefore no problems with gas.

Thank you AFE, your example is exactly what I search for.
We use gas-lift with CO2 and achieved 400 m3/day with 5

I recommend to use jet pump in your case :

- No need for the rig to install. Just slick line to set it in SSD
- No electric source needed
- Very cheap tool, you can rent it for 100 $/day
- The power fluid is easy to get free as a sea water
- Require only a separator and surface high pressure pump,
- If you want i can design and select the proper pump size/ performance. Just send me the wellbore schematic and reservoir data
