Friction Losses

Hello dear memebres of Fanarco forum.

I need the equation which show friction losse of fluid wile it entire to the wellbore. The well is the horizontal, hence i need this equation for elliptical-cylindircal flow. Or maybe some body can advise me a useful book for building a model to find this lfriction factor.

I can not find any information even for radial flow. Just about liner flow in the pipe. But not in to the reservoir while the fluid move to the wellbore.

You can find friction loss formulas in Applied Drilling Engineering - SPE Textbook. You can find the link in forums. There is a table about all the flow types but not about shapes, only models.

u can also find the fornulas in joshi book, horisontal wells, also i think u could find it here. if it isn't just ask and i will upload it again
