Dr S.M farouq Ali is Honorary Professor of oil and gas engineering at the University of Calgary, and he works alot on steam injection and CSS, Dr. Farouq Ali has authored over 500 papers and supervised over 200 graduate theses, and carried out over 200 reservoir studies. hi is the best refrence for your work on steam injection and CSS,

I am working on a big oil field in Egypt 700 MMSTB OIP
It is a heavy oil (9-14 API)
It is operated by CSS and steam injection
There are 5 formations producing (sandstone and dolomite)
So, i need any data around the world or case studies to get a clear idea on how to use thermal in optimized mode

Fanarco could you give us more information about the reservoir characteristics and properties?

It could be discussed and solved here in the forum by the members...

There are severe considerations to have in count, de geometric characteristics of the formations are very important, such as the porosity and permeability,,, to have the best estimation for the soaking time and injection rate.
