Position Summary
The Project Engineer is responsible for interfacing with Operations and Reservoir Engineering to maximize oil production rates and recovery in our water and CO2 floods.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility for flood surveillance, lift optimization, workover recommendations and new drill justifications. Helps Reservoir Engineering prepare mid-yr and year end reserve reports. Assists operations in well and facility troubleshooting and debottlenecking.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelors or Graduate Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering. At least 5 years’ experience in surveillance of water and/or CO2 floods as a production or reservoir engineer. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer skills. Proven track record of proactively managing ongoing Water and/or CO2 floods, with minimal supervision. Must have a valid US drivers license. Must be willing to travel to the field (1-1/2 hrs drive) at least once a week. Must be a US citizen, or permanent visa holder. Must be able to pass drug and background checks.
Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum of 7 years of Oil Industry Experience. Working knowledge of PhD, Petra and OFM. Prior experience working in field in facilities engineering, or in operations supervision. Previous CO2 flood surveillance experience in responsible charge of project management.
