Position Summary:
The production engineer is responsible for completing production engineering assignments which pertain to the monitoring and evaluation of well systems in order to maximize the production and operations of oil and gas products.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs analyses on wells to ensure efficient and optimal production performance
Providesconsulting around artificial lifts and production optimization
Identifiesworkover needs and implements designs and oversees the execution of workover plan
Participates in LOE and production reviews and budget preparation
Coordinates with other personnel, such as geoscientists, engineers, superintendents,foreman regarding production concerns
Skills & Experience:
This position typically requires a four year degree in petroleum engineering or a related field.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in production, operations, or completions with an operator.
Required skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary
Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Aries and Petra
Working knowledge of production optimization concepts and applications
Must be a self- starter and possess the ability to work independently
Attention to detail with high level of accuracy
Must be a team player
Practical knowledge unconventional/conventional resource plays
Previous field experience is preferred
