SLSR & WCQR Gauges

Post by Bilal Amjad »

What is the difference between SLSR and WCQR gauge w.r.t. station depth and depth of measurement?
Wells where Jet Pumps are installed, SLSR gauge hanger is set into the cavity of Jet Pump, otherwise F or R Nipple and sensor is somewhat 13 ft below it, is that true?
What for WCQR?

SLSR : Schlumberger Sapphire Pressure Sensor
WCQR: schlumberger quartz pressure sensor

Bilal ,,,

In order to measure the bottom hole flowing pressure in case of jet pumping well use the following procedures :

- POOH with the existing Jet Pump from SSD.
- RIH with Memory gauges and set it in R nipple (or equivalent).
- RIH with FB-2 and set it in F nipple (or eqivalent). This is one way ball valve which allow the flow from the formation and not the reverse direction.
- RIH with Jet Pump and set it in SSD (as usual).
- Run the jet pumping system and consider the proposed buildup and draw down periods with no problem. Once you shut in the system, the memory gauge will give you the normal brawdown build up curve due to presence of FB-2 valve.
