Question about Porosity calculation
I know that we can calculate porosity through core analysis "directory in the lab using rock sample" and well logging "Density log & Sonic log & Neutron log" , but I read that we can calculate porosity from well testing " is that right ??? "
Actually, I need more information about porosity calculation ????
I'd be grateful for your response

We usually use the term "Dual Porosity" when we have a formation with two porosity values in it. i.e. if you have a homogeneous sand formation with a porosity value of 15 % and there is another rock mixed with that formation which has another porosity for example 5 %. we call this a dual porosity model
Two porosity (Dual porosity): the rock exhibits dual porosity behavior stands for pseudo-steady state flow between fractures and the matrix). This behavior is characterized by the two additional parameters omega and lambda.
Please see the attached material (Well Test Analysis of Dual Porosity reservoir)
