Importing Eclipse data file to Petrel

Post by Tejaswy »

Hi guys,

I always had troubles importing Data file of Eclipse into Petrel.
Can you help me out here.

Posted below are some screenshots of how I do it.

There is an inherent flaw to importing data files into Petrel.
The heights of the reservoir are normally given in "-" in Petrel where as in Eclipse they are given in "+"

Move over I simple have troubles in simulating the imported data file in Petrel. I have to go defining the simulation case all over again in Petrel and it ends up giving me errors.

Can you help me out please.
Given below a series of screen shots.

Regards

Dear TJ;

Alot of steps that you should follow to import the ECLIPSE data into Petrel:

1- Copy your eclipse file/s in a new folder (In our case we will copy SPE1_ODEHIMPES.DATA in a folder called SPE01)

2- Open Eclipse Simulation Launcher and click on Add Dataset as per Image

I still have troubles simulating my reservoir even if i import the data file the way you said.

For people who have the older version of Eclipse ( with out the simulation launcher).

Make the data file
Simulate the data file
Then you follow from the PDF i have attached in my first post.
