Eclipse E100 Polymer flooding problem

Post by kim_2000 »

I am currently trying to implement fines migration theory into Eclipse using polymer flooding.

With fines migration, the polymer adsorption would change with the change in water salinity during the injection, which will then reduce water relative permeability. Unfortunately, Eclipse only models adsorption based on the change in polymer concentration in solution during a constant salinity value.

I just don't know how to make a model in which the polymer adsorption would depend on the salinity of the injected water.

Any advices on how to approach this problem would be really really appreciated :).

Hi,
I am also currently looking into CMG to see if it has this option, but couldn't find it. Could you also ask your expert if either Eclipse or CMG offers this option.
I really appreciate your help.
