It could be fine to open a discussion in this thread about why are some methods applicable or useless for heavy oil production... Each zone have it's proper reservoir, fluid and surface characteristics, and it determine the applicability of a method or other...
We can purpose a case study and work around it...

afaik jet pumping is a method that can be applied in almost all cases with success... if the well conditions allows it. But its main limit is the economic one... it's a very expensive method, and requires high technical capacities...

In my field, we use ESP, PCP and rod pumping. Oil gravity is 17 API, water cut on average is %92,3. ESPs are very useful for %98 and higher water cut wells; I have ESP well and it is running for 14 years without any problems. As sebasmagri says, it depends on reservoir but it depends on your well characteristics too.
