Tank Model for Thin Oil rim reservoir
In a thin oil rim reservoir, the wells that have been perforated in the oil column produce crude with an API close to 35. While the wells perforated in the gas cap produce condensate with an API close to 50.
I would like to know the mechanism to model this mutli-phase behavior of a reservoir in MBAL and in simulation studies. I'm particularly interested to know about the fluid description in terms of PVT properties that can be used to model this behavior.

Dear Aby,,
We would like to thank you for joining our forum.
In fact this type of the reservoirs should be treated as a compositional reservoir since the composition is not constant within the reservoir.
But composition reservoir need more data and time to run and the results are not guaranteed.
What i suggest to you is to consider the reservoir is a black oil and the bubble point pressure equal the reservoir pressure at GOC.
This should be supported by plotting bubble point pressure versus depth.
I worked on many typical cases like this
