How to open Eclipse file into Petrel

Post by adrian »

Eclipse learning series:

How to open Eclipse (*.DATA) file through Petrel.

We will use any Eclipse file listed in your Eclipse installation folder /ecl/2014.1/eclipse/data

Will copy the file GASWATER.DATA and past it in any other folder just to keep the original one hah..

Open that file by any text editor and under GRID section add this keyword:

GRIDFILE

2 1 /

INIT

Make sure the Keyword " NOGGF" keyword is not included in that *.DATA file

If found you can delete it because this keyword will prevent the Eclipse to create the GRID file.

Now Save the file and go to Eclipse launcher, Run the model

This will generate a lot of files inside your new folder containing *.DATA file
