I'm sorry to have to say this but don't one reply for my topic.

Could you tell me where is here find out the following lecture notes;

Note;
when i transfer my knowledge,I teach.
when i transfer my beliefs, I indoctrinate.

Hello everybody, i am a petroleum student and my favorite area is reservoir engineering (favorite because i like it not because i am good at it) I would like to be in contact with people that are already in this area so that i can direct myself because until now all the information about reservoir engineering is stil vague. 10x

Thank you very much Bilal Amjad. By the way, what makes CO2 a good enhanced oil recovery agent?

There are multiple Technical and Non-technical factors, some follows
1- Higher density at reservoir conditions
2- Higher viscosity
3- Swells the oil even at immiscible conditions
4- Reduces oil viscosity
5- Most of the times during flooding it is Beyond critical temperature and pressure
6- Carbon credit or Tax deduction offered by the government in lieu of carbon storage following EOR

@Alpha
another advantage in addition to these were mentioned is

used for medium pressure reservoirs as the miscibility pressure is lower (130-200 bar)

thanks mohammed107. and what happens if our reservoir has relactively high connate water saturation, is it effective to inject CO2?

Yes, CO2 has the distinguishing behavior, it first dissolve in water then to oil trapped between water.. EOR book by Willhite quote an experiment about this behavior of CO2
