How to identify the fluid type in the reservoir
Dear guys,,,
It is an open discussion.
How to identify either you have near critical gas or near critical oil initially in place.
I don't have MDT pressure data
I have a PVT sample of surface recombined but the test was not stabilized enough.
I have a downhole sample while testing but showed pure gas.
Also, MDT fluid sample showed pure gas.
I need to know which fluid initially in place Gas or Oil.
Thank you

Hi Fanarco
Can you share more information about recombination.
what is the GOR or CGR assumed for recombination, also the density of samples?
From my experience if you have sampled gas on both samplings it should be gas reservoir. Condensate drop out occurs either at reservoir, bottom hole or at separator. It would be good to see the presures at these points.

Dear gurbuz,,,
The surface recombined samples were taken at 32/64" Chock size and the GOR was 4000 scf/stb. BUT this was un-stabilized condition. i.e.: this value of GOR represents only 1 hour at the end of the test.
The density was measured in the lab as :
Gas sp. gr. : 0.75
Oil API : 45
Could you please provide me with your email
