Hello,

Can some one please help me by giving me practical-steps to QC PVT, and core data.

Thank you!

Hi,

to QAQC PVT Data (For Oil):
The lab results are good, if:
1. Check opening pressure of sample, and reservoir pressure. Difference should be about +/- 30 psia.
2. Check saturation pressure of the sample: if not too far from reservoir pressure (about +/- 200 psia), then it's good.
3. Input the lab results (fluid composition, flash results, differential liberation results, viscosity, separator data results, etc) into PVTi. Regress data, and check. If correlatable with EOS, and calculated Psat is around the same as lab results, then it's good.

For QA/QC Rel Perm Results (Kro-Krw):
1. Check the corey's exponent is more than 1 for all plugs. If it is, then it 's ok. If it's less than one... physically impossible. (maybe errorneous lab results/procedures).

Thank you leejean,

Really, it is very useful information.
for PVT, some labs issue the correlated viscosity data especially in Gas viscosity
And i think PVTP software from petex is better than PVTi

For Rel Perm how can we calculate corey's exponent for some scatter points of lab data??
