Hello everyone, interpreting well test of natural gas sandstone reservoir, I

Same problem with me
In many cases when you interpret he well test data in sandstone reservoir you may get a dual porosity OR dual permeability model in reservoir model.
You can match that data also with finite fracture in well bore model and homogeneus for reservoir model, you will get the same match
Which model is correct ?????

I made a review for a well with this case with the following :
- Well test data gave me two models matched (dual porosity/permeability and finite fractured )
- The open hole logs showed that the subjected formation is 24 meters complete sand body
- the cores taken from this interval showed that a big variation in permeability (0.5 to 5000 md). So, the true model was dual permeability

By the way, this well was an oil well with high GOR (more than 4000 SCF/STB)

Yes, fractures can certainly be present in sandstones. Check your image logs if available. Check out opening paragraph of Aguilera's classic book.
