Job Title Structural Geologist - Red Sea

The Exploration / Red Sea Department is seeking a top Structural Geologist to join their world class team. The candidate will have 2D and 3D Structural Restoration experience in a variety of Tectonic Terrains. Structural Geology experience in Rift Basins, Active Rift Basins and Salt Tectonic Basins. 2D and 3D structural restoration from Prospect to regional scales, and experience of prospect scale trap analysis including fault and map QC and correction.

Minimum Requirements Minimum of 8 years industry experience with a major IOC or industry leading consulting company

M.Sc. or PhD in Geology or Structural Geology

Working knowledge of Geo Mechanics and Wellbore Stability Analysis
Duties & Responsibilities The successful candidate will serve as consultant to management. Act as a technical expert to assigned professionals as necessary to satisfactorily perform work assignments. Develop ideas, and create plans and organize projects or specialized studies in Area Exploration, Technical Services, or in Reservoir Characterization to realize our corporate objectives. Conduct applied research within his area of specialization to provide new means of solving geological problems. Prepare oral and written reports to present the results of studies for review by management. Analyze regional stratigraphic and structural framework to determine Potential and Risk of future prospective regional trends. Utilize inter-disciplinary data, build integrated earth models to improve visualization, optimize drilling and help Reservoir Simulation, and Reserve Groups. Attend meetings and conferences related to his specific geological discipline to insure that the most current methods and techniques are applied to the solutions of the problems in Saudi Arabia. Assist in training less experienced geologists through discussions and work sessions.
