Future of Lighting Industry

Post by ammy1001 »

The first LED is said to be created by a Russian scientist named Oleg Vladimirovich Losev in 1927. The first LED patent was filed in 1961 by Robert Biard and Gard PittmanSkewer, American experimenters who were working at Texas Instruments. Just like other evolving technologies, there is no single individual that can be credited for the development and discovery of LED.
As a great alternative lighting method, LED is quickly accepted by consumers and will become the mainstream soon. With LED one can save money and protect the environment while incurring less maintenance costs. Once for a long time,Skewerthe compact fluorescent lights (CFL) was people’s first choice to be used as energy-saving lights to replace those traditional lights. However, there are some disadvantages about CFL lights that have been discovered by people, one of the flaws is that they contain mercury which is poisonous. And leakages happen easily because the lights are fragile. The improper dispose of CFL lights can also problematic.
Compared with the old incandescent bulbs, CFL bulbs are considerably more energy efficient, LED bulbs out-class them both in energy-efficiency and lifespan. LED lights are 30-50% more efficient and a five times longer life than CFLs. The related model is MAC15D.
