At the begining of the article we first talk about the basic identification.Antimony trifluoride is the inorganic compound with the CAS NO is 7783-56-4.It's molecular formula is SbF3 and relately it's molecular weight is 178.75.In solid SbF3, the Sb centres have octahedral molecular geometry and are linked by bridging fluoride ligands. Three Sb-F bonds are short (192 pm) and three are long (261 pm). Because it is a polymeric, SbF3 is far less volatile than related compounds AsF3 and SbCl3.Antimony trifluoride is one of two principal fluorides of antimony, the other being SbF5. It appears as a white solid. As well as some industrial applications, it is used as a reagent in inorganic and organofluorine chemistry.
A kind of inorganic,it's physical and chemical properties will make an effect on appearance and synthesis Methods.Antimony trifluoride is a colorless solid, can easily deliquesce. It's density is 4.379 g/cm3
