run the resistivity logs in cased hole wells

Hi,

Can we run the resistivity logs in cased hole wells, and what are the parameters influence the measurement; and could we trust into values of resistivity.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, there is a new tool called CHFR by Schlumberger (Cased Hole Formation Resistivity). It measures the resistivity behind casing as stations (may be one station for each 0.5 ft). This is not accurate as Open Hole Logs.

Anothre way to measure the water Saturation in cased hole is RST (Reservoir Saturation tool). But, in this case the invistigation will be only within the few inches in the formation
