Months ago, I was on a drilling rig, sudden pack off happened & caused sudden pumping pressure increase, no mud return, drillstring stucked, couldn't free it. We made back off, left part of drillstring in the well, made cement plug & side tracked the well !! http://www.glossary.oilfield.slb...
