Re: How to open Eclipse file into Petrel

Make sure the Keyword " NOGGF" keyword is not included in that *.DATA file If found you can delete it because this keyword will prevent the Eclipse to create the GRID file. Now Save the file and go to Eclipse launcher, Run the model This will generate a lot of files inside your new folder...

Just a brief description about your problem.

The water saturation commonly measured by Open Hole logs and Core

No need for SCAL to determine water saturation. Only Routine Core Analysis.

Since you are an RE so the required data should be: - Fluid data; PVT report for the subjected reservoirs. CVD and CMD... - Conventional core analysis. - Relative permeability curves. - Capillary pressure curves. - Openhole and/or interpreted logs. - Historical Reservoir Pressure data for each reser...

Hello petro,,, There are a lot of parameters to match that numbers: - You have to check the PVT data set. - Check the reservoir volume OIP from volumetrics, OIP from initialization run, OIP from MBE.... etc. - Validate the reservoir pressure points. and then for Oil Rate (and cum oil production): - ...

Reconciliation Between Methods Analogy and volumetric methods for estimating reserves are static methods and may yield results significantly different from performance methods, which are dynamic methods. Field case histories have attested to many situations where well and reservoir performance diff...

Combination Methods Usually, more than one method is used to estimate reserves. Typically, in the early stages of development and production of a field or reservoir, reserves are estimated using a combination of analogy and volumetric methods. In some areas, it may be feasible to utilize seismic da...

Performance Methods Performance methods may be used after a field, reservoir, or well has been on sustained production long enough to develop a trend of pressure and/or production data that can be analyzed mathematically. The analysis may involve material balance calculations or it may involve curv...
