I think there is few equation/ correlation to calculate the Bth time
But you know it depends on many parameters, so the equations not so accurate... hence , the dynamic model is the best to predict the breakthrough time

Datum depth is a depth in a reservoir which any pressure temp. data should be related to it.
Commonly if you have an original OWC you can consider that depth as a datum.
If you have a gas cap you can consider the original GOC
