Here is another one. Is it what you meant? http://www.sintef.no/home/SINTEF-Petroleum-Research/Wellstream-Technology/Laboratories/The-Medium-Scale-Three-Phase-Flow-Loop/ hey mate, thanks !! thats exactly what i meant.... IFE Thanks, this gives me some feeling about the scale of the flow loop, since...

Flow loop

Hi, i am taking part in a project where a flow loop should be designed and built. So basically a model of a wellbore, with some sensors and other stuff mounted on (at least i imagine it in that way). MY question is does anyone have experience, materials or any suggestion about such a model. Any info...

Toolface orientation

Hi,
i was wondering how is the toolface adjusted, since rotating the pipe on surface isn't proportional to the rotation of the bent sub downhole. I guess with surveying (MWD) i will be able to determine the deviation.. There is also a scribe on the bent sub...how does this help me on surface?

thanks

Help needed on drilling fluids

Hi, i have a question about drilling fluid rheology. Why do we use non-newtonian fluids instead of newtonian fluid? If i got it correctly, the basic idea is that we aim at a lower viscosity at higher shear rates (in the drill pipe) and high viscosity in the annulus where the shear rate isn't that hi...
