Re: Well Log & Rock Core Porosity
If core porosity was done with DEAN-STARK method your log porosity will only match the data in clean zones. In shaly zones Core porosity will be always somewhere between total and effective porosity. It is because drying clays during Dean-Stark lab process - there is always some Clay Bound Water th...

Re: Porosity-Permeability Correlation
A lot of discussion/explanation in this matter.. Simply the poro-perm cross plot should be constructed for each facies. For you as a reservoir engineer you can plot phi-k from routine core analysis and you come up with a correlation (equation) on semi log scale X axis is porosity cartesian scale whi...

Re: Well Test Derivative breakdown query!
Dear Soman, Please check Fekete or EPS charts on Welltest Analysis & Interpretations The have curves for each case you are looking for. (Attached) OR End pages of SPE Book on Pressure Transient Testing by John Lee/ Well Testing by John Lee. The have similar diagnostic library. Good material Bil...

Re: Top Map
The right and left fault block seems not in hydraulic communications. Although the OWC is the same in both blocks but on the reservoir level is not the same contour. the right line is neither contour nor polygon or fault. there is no polygon can cross different contours Something not true in this map.
